A rental is for guests who want privacy without a fixed sightseeing timetable. You choose the stops: a cove, a swim, a slower ride back. We show you on the chart what fits the hours you booked, and where the sea turns unfriendly when the wind rises.
Northern Zakynthos, close to the famous sights
You collect the boat at Makris Gialos beach in Volimes, daily from 09:00 to 21:00, May through October. From here the northern coast is close: Navagio, the Blue Caves and Xigia are not another island. They are the same Zakynthos.
With the boat in your hands you move along that coast on your own time. To enter the caves or approach Navagio cove the way a local skipper does, ask for a skipper or look at the shared trips and private cruises. The rental stays in Zakynthos. Kefalonia and Ithaca are a separate private cruise on the 350 hp boat.
Without a licence, or with a skipper
In Greece, some lower-powered pleasure craft can be driven without a licence. We do not print one horsepower number as if it applied to every boat in the fleet. Before you pay, we tell you plainly whether the boat you want can be driven without a licence.
If you would rather not take the helm, the skipper comes with you. The day then has the quiet of a private outing and the local knowledge of someone who knows where to tie up, where the water is deep and where a swim is worth the stop. You set the plan. He keeps it safe.
How the day goes
You arrive at Makris Gialos at the hour you booked. We hand over the boat with life jackets, fuel for the agreed time and a phone number to call if you need us. The bay deepens quickly near the beach, so the start is done with our instructions, not in a rush.
We show you how it starts, how it ties up and which stretches of coast are calm that day. Then you leave. You are back on the same beach before we close at 21:00. If the weather turns while you are out, the instruction is simple: stay near the coast and call us.
What to bring
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, water and a light layer if you sit on the bow. The deck is open, and the Ionian wind still cuts in August once the boat picks up speed.
Children need a life jacket in their size and calm behaviour on deck. If someone gets seasick, tell us before you leave: we will say whether the day is gentle or whether you should stay on a sheltered stretch of coast.
